The Rainforests of the world
These rainforests are humid environment in nature. It is estimated that on average these rainforests receive more than 70 inches of rain annually.
These lush, green habitats play a critical role in regulating the global climate, producing oxygen, and providing resources for medicine and food. The world's rainforests are generally classified into two main categories.

These rainforests are found near the equator and these rainforests have warm temperatures and high humidity throughout the year. Some of the most famous include tropical rainforests
The Amazon Rainforest ( South America)
The largest rainforest in the world. Covering approximately 5.5 million square kilometers. It spans nine countries and is home to an incredible diversity of plants and animals.
The Congo Basin( Central Africa)
The second largest tropical rainforest in world. It Known for its rich biodiversity and significant role in the global carbon cycle.
The Southeast Asian Rainforest( Indonesia, Malaysia, surrounding areas)
Temperate Rainforests
Located in the temperate zones. These rainforests experience cooler temperatures and significant rainfall.
